Bert T'Siobbel - AAS ad interim (30%)
Hello, I am Bert, born and raised in Ghent as well as an energetic and communicative physiotherapist with a passion for sports and helping others improve their physical and mental health. With my knowledge of exercise and recovery, I offer a dynamic approach to treatment tailored to each patient's unique needs.
Besides my work, my adventurous spirit is reflected in my love of exercise, wall climbing and travelling. These activities not only keep me physically active, but also inspire my holistic approach to overall wellbeing. Whether practising movement, climbing a mountain or exploring new destinations, I always embrace new challenges with a positive, open attitude. Another important part of my life is music, in any kind of situation it can provide both relaxation and motivation. Combining my know-how with my personal interests, I encourage a balanced and active lifestyle for everyone I work with. See you soon!

Lien Van Laer - Postdoctoral assistant (50%)
My name is Lien Van Laer, I am 31 years old and was born and raised in Ghent. After completing my training as a physiotherapist at Ghent University in 2016, I was allowed to gain four years' experience as a physiotherapist at the Sint-Lievenspoort rehabilitation centre. I then started my PhD at the University of Antwerp, which I completed in September 2024. After my PhD, I had the opportunity to spend four months doing research at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore (USA), an incredibly valuable experience. From February 2025, I will combine two postdoctoral positions at Ghent University and University of Antwerp. I am extremely looking forward to starting this and to getting to know you, my new colleagues, better.
Besides work, you can find me walking or cycling in the Gentbrugse Meersen, on a terrace in Ghent or in a yoga class. See you soon!

Eline Vandersteen - Teaching assistant (30%)
I am Eline Vandersteen, 29 years old and graduated as a physiotherapist at Ghent University in 2019. As a former top athlete in gymnastics, I started working as a physiotherapist at the Gymnastics Federation, where I supervise boys between the ages of 14 and 27 who are doing top-level gymnastics. Furthermore, this summer holiday I started my own practice in Knesselare (Aalter).
In my spare time, I try to do some recreational running and like to spend time among animals. Not all animals appeal to me; as soon as they have six legs or more, you won't find me anywhere near them. Furthermore, I am very much looking forward to starting at Ghent University and guiding students!
